Payment Options

African Tanzanite Safari provides you with two options for making payment: an International Bank Transfer or an Online Credit Card.

Online Credit Card 

Please note there is a 3.5% bank surcharge added to credit card payments.

  • What types of credit cards do you accept?
    • We accept master cards, visa cards & American Express.

  • Why is there a 3.5% charge?
    • The 3.5% is not from us, it is a bank surcharge for credit card transactions. If you choose this payment method, the 3.5% surcharge will be added to your trip package price.
  • What needs to be done before proceeding with my credit card payment?
    • Please inform your credit card company or bank about making an online credit card payment to Africa (Tanzania) so they can acknowledge the transfer, otherwise, it is considered fraud by your bank or credit card company hence payment failure.

       

  • How will I know if the credit card payment is successful?
    • Once you enter your details you will receive an online notification, proof of your payment. Please send the proof of payment to us by email so we can confirm your booking.

       

  • Why pay by credit card?
    • Credit card payment is easy and quick and through this mode of payment, we can instantly confirm your trip reservation. 

International Wire Transfer

Please note the charges associated with this payment method will be borne by the sender (client). This payment mode may take up to 7 working days to complete.

    • Please make sure the account name and number appear in the transfer copy. 
  • How do I make a wire transfer?
    • Wire transfers can be done via online banking or by visiting your local bank. Please make sure beneficiary bank details are clearly and correctly stated to avoid any disputes.

       

  • What are the charges for the wire transfer?
    • Depending on the bank you use, approximately $25 – $75 should be kept as a provision in your account to process the wire transfer.
  • What do I do after the wire transfer is successful?
    • Please send us a copy of the transaction confirmation. We will follow up with our bank and inform you as soon as we receive the funds. 

Booking Policy

  • We require 30% of the quoted package price (excluding flights) upon confirmation.
  • We accept full payments from the time the booking is confirmed.
  • Full payment must be made 30 days before the day your safari begins.
  • All payments must be made in US dollars. You can make the payment through an online credit card or wire draft. A wire draft is highly recommended.

Note: The booking policy is subject to tours with high-end lodges. We will inform you about the policy upon request.

Cancellation Policy

  • 90 days or more – 25% of the total safari cost will be charged.
  • 89 days to 31 days – 50% of the total safari cost will be charged.
  • 30 days to 14 days – 75% of the total safari cost will be charged.
  • 13 days and below or No show – 100% of the total safari cost will be charged.

Note: Only written (e-mail) cancellations based on the received date of the email will be considered valid and approved. You will receive written confirmation that your cancellation has been received. The cancellation policy applies only if full payment is made.


Other Terms & Conditions

Amendment Policy

African Tanzanite Safari is flexible about making amendments to meet your needs, interests, and budget, provided all changes are made in time and written form. Depending on the specific changes you request, the package price is subject to change.

  • Any changes in your safari package that incur extra costs will be charged accordingly, and African Tanzanite Safari will inform you of such.

Refunds

If your trip is canceled and you are entitled to receive a refund, please be advised that the bank charges incurred to process the refund will be deducted from your end.

Price Changes

All African Tanzanite Safari package prices are subject to change concerning park fees, government taxes, or other costs incurred by African Tanzanite Safari through government regulations and policies, the costs of which befall upon the client.

Marketing

African Tanzanite Safari reserves the right to use any photographs/videos taken during the safari for marketing purposes. However, you retain the right to use the photographs/videos, though African Tanzanite Safari retains copyright authority. Any use of imagery will be communicated to you, and appeals or objections on your part will be considered by African Tanzanite Safari.

Your Responsibility

Clients must ensure all travel documents, including (but not limited to) passports, visas, and vaccination certificates (if needed) before their departure date, are valid and certified. For any vaccination, medical advice, or medical certificates, consult your physician or travel health specialist for the proper prescription. It is your responsibility to obtain appropriate medical advice regarding medication, immunization, and whether or not you are fit enough to undertake the trip before departure. African Tanzanite Safari may and will advise on matters, but such advice is not legally binding and does not constitute a substitution for government or medical certification or guarantees.

It is the client’s responsibility to check all flights and ensure all pre-booking procedures before you visit Tanzania are valid and legally sound. Clients will not receive a credit or refund of the agreed quotation if failing to prepare appropriate documents before or upon arrival. African Tanzanite Safari does not take responsibility for any loss, theft, or otherwise of any valuables, documents, tickets, (credit) cards, money, or any other tangible good in the possession of the client.

Insurance

African Tanzanite Safari encourages its clients to take adequate travel and medical insurance in the event of any loss or injury while on holiday. African Tanzanite Safari can and will inform on available options and, if requested, will arrange such insurance on the condition African Tanzanite Safari is indemnified on all accounts and such is transferred to the appropriate insurance agencies.

Luggage

All luggage and personal effects are the client’s responsibility. African Tanzanite Safari does not accept any liability for any loss or damage of personal belongings while in international transit. However, if your luggage gets lost while in transit or does not arrive with you, African Tanzanite Safari will do its best to help you retrieve it and have it delivered to your hotel upon its arrival.

Clients are allowed to bring one bag of not more than 23kg (backpack or soft bag – no hardtop suitcase). African Tanzanite Safari reserves the right to refuse excess baggage.

Customers with Disabilities and Physical Challenges

Guests with physical challenges or disabilities MUST communicate their special needs requirements at the time of the booking. These needs include but are not limited to physical, mental, or psychological medication or other needs. All necessary information must be shared clearly with African Tanzanite Safari to understand the nature of any challenge to ensure these needs are accommodated. African Tanzanite Safari accommodates customers with disabilities. However, there are limitations, and we wish to ensure all safeguards are in place for your experience, which may include stand-by medical assistance, adjusted vehicles or accommodation, altered itineraries, and others.

Risk

African Tanzanite Safari will not be responsible for injury, calamity, damage, dissatisfaction, or any other damaging event (material, immaterial, or otherwise) to the client’s travel experience while on safari if and when directions, protocols, rules, or guidelines given by the responsible guide and/or African Tanzanite Safari are not followed by the client.

  • African Tanzanite Safari is not liable for the aforementioned at any accommodations.

The Law

The above Terms and Conditions, together with all correspondences, form part of your contract with African Tanzanite Safari. This contract and any matters arising from it shall be governed by and interpreted by Tanzanian law, and the courts of Tanzania shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any proceedings between us, either relating to our contract or arising out of it.
